About
Starting out as a dee-jay in the New England area, Jeff's circuitous path to a professional writing career began immediately after his discharge from the U.S. Army, where he honed his broadcast and writing skills as a dee-jay and news announcer for the American Forces Radio and Television Network in Tokyo, Japan. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Jeff arrived in Los Angeles, where he soon landed a freelance writing job with Mel Blanc's Audio Media company, writing commercials and special material for Hollywood personalities Vincent Price, Jack Palance, Kirk Douglas and Rod Serling.
Before long, Jeff was hired as Promotion Director at Billboard Magazine and later accepted a job as a copywriter with a Los Angeles advertising firm, where he was eventually named Associate Creative Director. In his spare time, Jeff cranked out a number of spec movie scripts, selling and optioning a few, which allowed him to become a member of the Writers Guild of America, West. Jeff later became the west coast Creative Director for McCaffrey & McCall, where he created, wrote and supervised print, radio and television advertising for Mercedes-Benz.

Jeff is currently the Creative Director at Onyx Productions Direct, where he writes and directs commercials and infomercials. In his spare time, he writes short stories for a popular Hollywood website that features short fiction by many notable Hollywood writers.

Jeff is currently a member of the Television Academy and has just completed his first novel, The President's Widow. Please direct any inquiries to Sandra O'Donnell at RO Literary, 212.272.0197 ext. 1, or sandra@roliterary.com
